The 25-year-old Fabinho has yet to start any of Liverpool’s four games that they have played in the Premier League so far. Fabinho arrived at Anfield this summer with an impressive reputation from French club AS Monaco. Most people would have expected him to fare off better at Anfield, considering his past exploits with Monaco.
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has credited his team-mate Roberto Firmino for helping him to adapt to life at Liverpool.
He also played extensively during the Reds’ pre-season and it would have been expected that he would have been played considering this.
Considering that Liverpool have been playing well and their midfielders have been delivering, it will not be surprising if Fabinho does not play when the Reds play against Tottenham in the League next weekend.
Fabinho has credited his Brazilian and club team-mate Firmino for helping him adjust to the demands of English football. The 25-year-old Firmino has been with the Reds since 2015, after joining from Hoffenheim and since then has transformed himself into one of the best strikers in the Premier League.
Both share the same language, as they are from Brazil and if there is someone who can help Fabinho through this difficult time in his career, it is Firmino.
Fabinho told Globo Esporte: “My start has been good and the adaptation good. The pre-season was very good, we had nine friendlies and I played nine,”
“It was good to play against English teams to see what the rhythm, the intensity and the physique is like. I am adapting to the team’s style of play. The more experienced players have helped me, the technical team as well.
“Me and my wife are liking the city, we already have a home. Firmino is being a great guy, his family has given a good support to me and Alisson.
“It’s been fine. Having Brazilians in the team helps. Now it’s really to make the debut. I’m fine, training well and prepared.”
