West Ham will be looking to record their first points of the new season when they play against newly promoted Wolves on Saturday.
The Hammers have once again started the season in poor form, as they have lost all three of their League games played thus far. If they lose against Wolves, then the pressure will surely start to heap on Manuel Pellegrini.
After a series of frustrating performances last season, the Hammers brought in an abundance of new talent during the summer and appointed former Premier League winning boss Pellegrini to succeed David Moyes in the hot-seat.
The Hammers did, however, claim a morale-boosting 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon during mid-week League Cup action, with Hernandez managing to find the back of the net.
Despite the fact that they went down 3-1 against Arsenal last weekend, they improved when compared to how they played during the defeats against Liverpool and Bournemouth.
Pellegrini is currently one of the managers who is viewed as a candidate to be the first sacking of this season.
Hernandez, who is one of the more experienced players within the Hammers set-up, has, however, given his backing to the Chilean boss. Hernandez does feel that the East Londoners will do well under the guidance of the former Manchester City boss.
As reported by the West Ham match-day program for the game against Wolves, the Mexican striker said: “We are playing with a winning mentality and playing very offensive and attacking football,”
“That’s what the manager loves and, talking about myself as a striker, I love it when a manager comes and creates that sort of atmosphere, telling every player to be confident with the ball.
“I definitely feel things are coming together. At Arsenal, the result didn’t go in our favour, but things are coming slowly. People can see that.
“It’s part of football and it’s not a process that will happen overnight.
“You need to keep working, be very patient and I think the results will come sooner or later and we have a big opportunity on Saturday.
