Monterrey has been one of the best teams in the 2018 Apertura with 12 points, currently in third place. Los Regios are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 win against Pumas UNAM and also have wins against Queretaro, Leon and Pachuca in this tournament. Nicolas Sanchez scored the goal that led to Monterrey’s win against Pumas and is currently leading the team with three goals this season. Aviles Hurtado is not far behind with two goals and is part of one of the most exciting attacking forces in the league that features players like Rodolfo Pizarro and Dorlan Pabon. Rogelio Funes Mori is currently out due to an injury and is being replaced by target man Luis Madrigal. Still, Diego Alonso does count with one of the best teams in the Liga MX and should have no problems against Lobos BUAP.
