Marcelo Bielsa has led Leeds United to a perfect start in the Championship this season with wins against Stoke City and Derby County. The Whites have scored seven goals and only conceded two while playing a very enticing style of football under the leadership of “El Loco”. Leeds United will look to prolong its perfect start as Bielsa’s team hosts Rotherham United at Elland Road this Saturday, August 18.

Leeds’ latest result was a 2-1 win against Bolton in the first round of the Football League Cup. The Argentine manager used an alternate side in that match and used a 4-2-3-1 formation rather than the 4-1-4-1 he had been using in league play. Kalvin Phillips, Samu Saiz and Luke Ayling are the only key starters that started in the cup game as Phillips and Ayling have played all possible minutes in all competitions this season.

Kemar Roofe will be one of the main players to watch as he netted himself a brace in The Peacocks’ 4-1 win against Derby County last weekend. Polish midfielder Mateusz Klich has also been a key player for Bielsa so far as he also scored against Derby and now has two goals this season.

The Whites are the heavy favorites against Rotherham United as they have the better team and will also count with the home-field advantage. The Milers are one of the recently promoted sides in the Championship and still have a limited squad to work with.

Rotherham is coming off a 3-1 win against Wigan Athletic in the EFL Cup and a 1-0 win against Ipswich Town in league play. However, Paul Warne’s team did fall 5-1 against Brentford in the opening game of the season and this should prove to be a very tough away match.
