Week 5 of the Apertura 2018 of the Liga MX will have Club Atlas host Monarcas Morelia at the Estadio Jalisco. The match to be played this Friday, August 17, 2018 (7:00 PM Pacific) will be televised on Univision Deportes and is available online via FuboTV.
Atlas has been a disaster this season after four games in which they have only gathered a total of 2 points. The team coached by Gerardo Espinoza is in 16th place and is already falling deeply into the bottom of the regular standings. The ‘rojinegros’ have yet to score a single goal and conceded three against Club America and Pumas in consecutive weeks.
Monarcas Morelia has been more efficient at the start of the Apertura 2018 as they sit in 7th place with a total of 7 points. The team coached by Roberto Hernandez has been strong on offense already scoring seven goals, yet, defensively they have conceded six.
The team from Michoacan will enter Friday’s match as the favorite to win considering their rival’s terrible form. Nonetheless, as Atlas is pressured to obtain a positive result, this match should be a close one and with many goals.
