The legendary footballer Pele believes that Liverpool will go all the way and win the Premier League title this season.
Though the Reds are one of the most successful clubs in English football history, they have not won the top-flight since 1989 and have never won the League since the inception of the Premier League.
It’s the start of the @PremierLeague today. Who do you think will win? I think it’s the year of Liverpool, Alisson and Firmino! // É o início da Premier League hoje. Quem você pensa que vai vencer? Eu acho que este é o ano do @LFC, com @Alissonbecker e Firmino! https://t.co/59koCXIIqP

The Reds, however, exceeded expectations last season, as they reached the final of the Champions League, which they lost against Real Madrid.
While Manchester City went on to convincingly win the Premier League title last season, Jurgen Klopp’s charges where the only side that can boast about getting the better over Pep Guardiola’s men last term. The Reds played against City four times in all competitions last season and they managed to win three of those games (one came in the League and two came during the Champions League quarter-final).
The Reds have one of the deadliest attacking trios in Europe in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Salah was arguably the best buy of last summer, as he went on to score 32 goals in the Premier League.
Klopp bolstered his ranks this summer by adding the likes of Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson and Naby Keita to his roster in addition to acquiring the services of defender Virgil van Dijk during the January transfer window.
The Reds forked out £170 million on new players during the summer and had the most successful transfer window from all Premier League clubs, according to most pundits.
Klopp’s charges are believed to contest for the title this season along with Manchester City.
Pele believes that Liverpool will finally go all the way.
