This Saturday, August 11, 2018 (7:00 PM Pacific) Club America will host Monterrey at the Estadio Azteca for a game in the fourth round of matches in the Liga MX 2018 Apertura. Both teams are among the top title contenders in this 2018 Apertura and should present a very entertaining clash.
Club America is off to a solid start with two wins from three games with victories against Atlas and Pachuca and a loss against Necaxa as well. Las Aguilas are coming off a 3-1 win against Pachuca, where the main talking point was Diego Lainez’s performance as the youngster managed to score two goals. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder will get the start in this game as previously stated by Miguel Herrera and Pablo Aguilar is also said to be doubtful to play in this clash.
Club America has a solid team, especially in the midfield with the partnership of Guido Rodriguez and Mateus Uribe. The attack is the worrying component of the team as an aging Oribe Peralta and Roger Martinez, who is still adapting to the league, may not make for the most potent strike force.
Monterrey has had an impeccable start to the new season with three wins from its first three games and only one goal allowed so far. Los Rayados have victories against Pachuca, Leon and Queretaro and will now try and take down one of the top teams in the league.
The team is well-balanced with a very rigid defense led by Nicolas Sanchez and a very dangerous attack that features players like Rodolfo Pizarro, Rogelio Funes Mori and Aviles Hurtado. Diego Alonso, the new manager, has done a fantastic job with the team and should lead Los Rayados to a significant season.

FutnSoccer predicts a 2-1 win for Monterrey in what should be one of the best games in this fourth round of matches. Club America will have the home-field advantage, but Rayados have the better team and should be able to come away with the three points.
