Rangers reportedly knock back £9million transfer fee for star

As per The Scottish Sun, Rangers have knocked back a £9million bid from Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Renhe for Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos.

The Far East outfit already tabled 3 offers for the services of the 21-year-old, with the last one coming prior to the end of last month’s transfer window.

The CSL market is still open until the end of February, and Renhe are hoping to secure a move for their man.

Morelos is also attracting 2 South American outfits following an impressive start to life in the Scottish topflight, but the Ibrox outfit aren’t ready to let go of him until summer.

Despite the tempting offer, the club aren’t under financial pressure to cash in, with their mission to beat Aberdeen to the runners up spot still top priority this term.

Talks are ongoing to hand Morelos an improved contract in order to reward him for his topnotch services.

The offer from the Chinese club seems genuine, but Rangers are in no rush to sell, and need the striker to finish out the campaign. It’s unlikey this transfer will go through soon, but things could change in the summer.
