According to reports, West Ham are close to signing Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer.
The news has been reported by ExWHUemployee who is a reliable source of happens within the Hammers and who also correctly reported that Patrice Evra would end up joining the East London club last week.
EXWHUemployee responded to fan query regarding the club’s interest in Fredericks and said: “He is top of our list yes! Apparently the deal is quite close to being agreed! He will provide solid competition to Byram and Zabaletta and brings a lot of pace to the position.”
If the deal does go ahead, David Moyes side will be hoping that Fredericks can provide competition to Pablo Zabaleta as they look to move further away from the relegation zone.
During recent years, Fredericks established himself as an important member of the Fulham side and went on to make 96 appearances in all competitions.
