Everton target reportedly rip up contract to secure imminent West Ham move

As per soka25east, West Ham are close to securing a move for Augsburg defender Daniel Opare after the Ghanaian international fell out with the Bundesliga club.

The 27-year-old, who is also being targeted by Everton, parted ways with Augsburg earlier during the week after they didn’t allow him leave during the January transfer window.

A free transfer is on the cards for Opare, and it’s believed the Hammers are in pole position to land their long-term target.

The former Real Madrid youth player can play as both a right and left-back, and his versatility would come handy at the London Stadium.

Everton boss Sam Allardyce has been an admirer of Opare, and the club’s left-back issues would have solved were they able to land him last month.

It’s the Hammers who are said to be closing in on the Ghana international, though, and he would help give Pablo Zabaleta quality cover and competition should a move go through.

West Ham have already scouted Opare on numerous occasions and are convinced he has the quality to hit the ground running in the topflight.
