Liverpool star Salah explains why he might not win Golden Boot

Harry Kane

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has admitted that Tottenham star Harry Kane has an advantage over him in the race to win the Premier League’s golden boot award this season.

Since arriving at the Reds from Roma during the summer, Salah has proven to be the signing of the summer and he has scored 21 goals from 25 Premier League games.

The Egyptian international is just one goal behind Kane in the race to win the golden boot and it looks like Kane will be the favourite to win the award for a third season in succession.

Salah has said that he is hopeful of beating Kane to the golden boot award but did add that he feels that the Spurs man has an advantage.

He said: “He is a great player, in the last two years he has already been the top scorer. Kane plays as a No.9 and has more chances to score goals than me. In my mind I want to win it, but we will see what happens.”
