Liverpool reportedly handed huge boost in hopes of signing young superstar

Liverpool have received a transfer boost as Monaco star Thomas Lemar is reportedly hoping to move to Anfield next season.

The Reds attempted to sign Lemar during the summer, however Monaco declined their advances as they had already by that point lost a lot of their key players from last season who helped them win the Ligue 1 title.

Although Liverpool have an attacking front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, they could still make a move for Lemar during the summer.

Lemar is regarded as one of the best young players in world football and played  a key role in heling Monaco win the Ligue 1 and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.

The player has also turned down a contract extension with Monaco which increases the chances of him leaving the club during the summer.

Lemar’s value could escalate if France have a good run in the World Cup so Liverpool will need to be prepared to fork out heavily.
