Rangers reportedly trying to keep star forward at Ibrox

According to the Daily Express, Chinese Super League side, Beijing Renhe have made an official £6.5 million bid for the Rangers star Alfredo Morelos. The same source claims that Beijing are ready to offer Morelos £75,000-week salary to lure him to Asia.

The Gers had signed the 21-year-old bomber from HJK Helsinki for a reported fee of £1 million last summer, and in case they accept to sell him this winter, they could make a huge profit.

However, manager Graeme Murty seems reluctant to give up on his best goalscorer, as Rangers are frantically trying to close the gap on the league leaders Celtic and return to the European stage after a long time period.

The Colombian prospect has had an excellent season in the Scottish Premiership. He has scored eleven goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances, and it is hard to see Murty sanction his transfer on the deadline day.

Some recent reports have suggested that Guangzhou as the main contender, but it appears that those statements have been unfounded.
