According to the BBC Sport, West Bromwich Albion forward Tyler Roberts have signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Championship side Leeds United. The Whites have secured the services of the promising youngster for a reported fee of around £2.5 million.
Thomas Christiansen has been chasing a new striker for months to provide some support to Pierre-Michel Lasogga, after mediocre displays from Jay-Roy Grot.
After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to capture Cyle Larin and Jack Marriott, it seemed that Leeds will have to wait until the summer to reinforce their attacking ranks.
However, the highly-rated striker, Roberts, has already announced his desire to leave The Hawthorns, with only six months left on his contract.
And it appears that Leeds officials have managed to take advantage of the situation to bring the 19-year-old at Elland Road already this winter. After Adam Forshaw and Laurens De Bock, Roberts is going to be Leeds’ third major signing.
