Everton youngster Ademola Lookman will spend the rest of the season in Germany with RB Leipzig, it has been confirmed.
Though Lookman is a highly-rated young talent at Goodison Park, he has not featured in any of the clubs last six League fixtures and manager Sam Allardyce recently indicated that the player is not as yet at a level where he can compete in the Premier League on a regular basis.
The 20-year-old has managed 17 appearances for the Toffees this season, contributing one assist while scoring three goals.
Two of those goals came during the Toffees 3-0 win over Apollon Limassol which proved to be the clubs only win during their disastrous Europa League campaign this season.
Leipzig currently sit in fifth position on the Bundesliga standings.
It is certainly surprising that Lookman was sent on loan considering that he is one of the Merseysiders most highly-rated young talents but he will now need to prove to Allardyce what he is capable off.
