Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has issued an update on the status of striker Danny Ings. Ings has struggled for regular game time and has been linked with a move away from Anfield. Newcastle, Crystal Palace and West Ham have all been linked with loan moves for the player.
The striker has recently recovered from two separate injuries which prevented him from making a start for the Reds during the past two years. It is however unlikely that Liverpool will allow Ings to leave at least not till the end of the season.
This comes after Daniel Sturridge was allowed to join West Brom earlier this week. This now means that Ings could be the main cover for Roberto Firmino.
When pressed about Ings’ availability, the Klopp replied: “No chance that Ingsy is on the market tomorrow. Only if I’m unconscious!”
