The British portal Inside Futbol have broadcasted the words of the former Liverpool player David Thompson regarding the current situation within the club.
The Merseyside club have lost two great players this January, as both Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge left the team.
The 28-year-old has completed his loan move to the ranks of West Bromwich Albion earlier today. And despite he failed to shine this season, he is nevertheless among the best strikers in the Premier League.
According to Thompson, the Reds are making a huge mistake by not bringing another striker after the sale of the former Chelsea forward.
“I can see Liverpool bringing in another striker now they have shifted big wages off the bill. Unless they are relying on Ings and Solanke which is risky!”, he wrote on Twitter.
Jurgen Klopp is in deficit with strikers, as Dominic Solanke and Danny Ings are the only choices to replace team’s first forward Roberto Firmino.
Some recent reports have implied that Liverpool could try to snatch the WBA bomber Salomon Rondon on the deadline day, but it seems highly improbable.
