Reliable Journalist Pete O’ Rourke has claimed that Aston Villa are preparing to part ways with defender Alan Hutton after they decided against offering him a new contract.
O’Rourke wrote on Twitter: ‘Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has been told he will not be getting a new deal at the club when his current deal expires this summer.”
Hutton’s current deal at Villa Park will expire at the end of the current season. The 33-year-old Hutton joined the Villains from Tottenham in 2011.
He has never managed to establish himself as one of the clubs star performers but he has however been a loyal and hard-working servant of the club during the last few years and has gone on to make 21 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Villa however do need to start preparing for the future and considering that Hutton is now nearing the end of his career, it is perhaps the right time to part ways.
