Rangers have done pretty well in the winter transfer window, bringing in at least a player for every outfield position. On the exit front, 5 players have left Ibrox, with Carlos Pena’s loan return to Mexico being the most populous.
It’s believed more exits will be recorded before Wednesday deadline elapses, and Daily Record has made a suggestion of 8 names.
In defence, Fabio Cardoso, 23, is tipped for an exit despite making 11 appearances – majority coming under erstwhile boss Pedro Caixinha – thus far.
He could be joined by fellow Portuguese Bruno Alves and Dalcio. While the 36-year-old defenders managed to play 14 games before his injury, the 21-year-old midfielder has managed just 4 minutes of football since a disastrous debut and performance against Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League.
Jordan Rossiter needs to play after just returning from another long injury layoff, and a loan or permanent exit could be on the cards.
Niko Kranjcar has played just 17 games in 18months, and his deal ends by summer. However, a mutual agreement between both parties could see the 33-year-old Croatian midfielder leave today.
Joe Dodoo returned to Ibrox following a disastrous 6-month loan at Charlton, and that he didn’t make the squad to the Florida winter trip suggests it could be the end of his Rangers career.
Michael O’Halloran also returned from loan in January, but doesn’t seem to have a place in manager Graeme Murty’s plans.
With just a league goal to his name, 29-year-old striker Eduardo Herrera is surplus to requirements and could seal a late exit.
