Suitors reportedly ready to match the exact fees Everton man was signed for

As per the Daily Mail, West Ham are plotting a late £20million bid for Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin as manager David Moyes looks to shore up his squad before the transfer window closes.

The 28-year-old France international arrived Goodison Park this time last year for a  reported £20million fee, rising to £24million.

Schneiderlin hasn’t exactly hit the ground running at Merseyside, but he has remained key to the team’s plans despite going in and out of the starting XI.

The former Southampton man has played 19 games this term, and the season-ending injury to James McCarthy could see him make even more regular appearances.

West Ham have been left to look for a late midfield signing following Pedro Obiang’s injury, but it remains to be seen if Blues boss Sam Allardyce is keen on cashing in on their target – Schneiderlin.

The Frenchman was involved in a training ground bust-up with coach Duncan Ferguson back in November, and while he has since declared his commitment to Everton, his future remains uncertain.
