According to Liverpool Echo, Everton are ready to sanction a £2million loan deal for out-of-favour Spanish striker Sandro Ramirez till the end of the campaign.
The 22-year-old former Barcelona forward has struggled at Goodison Park since completing a £5.2million switch from Malaga last summer, scoring once in 15 appearances – the last of which came before Christmas.
Newcastle have been linked with Ramirez, and with time running out in the pursuit of a striker, taking the Spain youth international on loan till May could be an astute piece of business.
Everton aren’t willing to sanction a sale right now as they haven’t given up on him, but they want any club keen on the youngster to foot his full wages.
A return to the La Liga looks more likely, but with the chance to prove himself in the Premier League available at Tyneside should the Toons revive interest, Ramirez could be open to linking up with manager Rafa Benitez.
The coaching crew at Saint James’ Park consists of Spaniards, and they could prove helpful in helping the promising striker unlock his potential in England and finally hit the ground running.
