According to reports from Italy, Liverpool have had an offer for Roma goalkeeper Alisson turned down.
The Reds need a new goalkeeper if they want to become genuine trophy contenders going forward.
Both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet have been unable to convince that they can be long-term shot-stoppers for the club during the opportunities that have been handed to them this season.
The 25-year-old Alisson is one of the players that the Reds have identified as a possible candidate to become their new first choice keeper and the player himself as indicated interest in joining the Merseysiders.
Alisson is one of the world’s best keepers and his good performances have prevented Manchester City keeper Ederson (who is also a world-class talent) from being first choice for the Brazil national team.
Alisson’s value could also be set to skyrocket after the World Cup, especially if he plays well as Brazil progress to the deep stages of the tournament.
