Newcastle United reportedly need to fork out more money to sign striker

Dutch club Feyenoord are demanding more money if they wish to sell striker Nicolai Jorgensen, however cash-strapped Newcastle are unwilling to fork out a hefty amount as they look to revitalize their side up front this month with a view to avoiding relegation this season.

Magpies manager Rafa Benitez has reportedly made the Denmark international his top target as he looks to add firepower to his options up front.

The Toon Army have so far made two offers for Jorgensen, the second was worth £15 million and both were rejected by Feyenoord.

Jorgensen is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Dutch Eredivisie and inspired Feyenoord to a League title in 2017.

He has so far scored several goals and provided three assists this season. At 27-years-old, Jorgensen is perhaps at the peak of his career and should the Magpies pull off this signing, they will be adding an exciting player to their ranks.
