Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna. Villa manager Steve Bruce is a fan of the Scottish defender and could be set to battle Hull City in the race to sign the 21-year-old.
The Tigers have already seen three bids rejected for McKenna, the latest of which is reported to be in the region of £700,000.
Though Aberdeen could manage to keep McKenna this month, keeping the player settled at the club for the long-term will be a tough ask considering that the prospect of playing in England is too good to resist for most players.
Aberdeen boss Derek Mclnnes confirmed that his club have received bids from Hull before adding that the centre-back will not be sold this month.
He said: “They came in with another offer on Tuesday which was a bit more again on what they had offered before.
“That’s the third offer we have had from Hull and as I have said before we have no interest in selling Scott and he won’t be sold in this window.
“We can’t stop clubs making offers and I can totally understand why they would be attracted to him but we are comfortable that he won’t be sold right now.
“We want to sell Scott at a time when it suits us and when he is at his maximum potential and he still has a lot to go.”
