The Hull Daily Mail have reported that Leeds United have joined the race for FC Utrecht’s Giovanni Troupee.
The Dutch portal De Telegraaf have also announced the Whites are looking to challenge Serie A sides, Sampdoria, Hellas Verona and Benevento for defender’s signature.
According to the reports, Leeds would like to bring the 19-year-old right-back to Elland Road on loan with an option to make it permanent next summer.
Thomas Christiansen has already brought Laurens De Bock earlier this month, but after the injury of Luke Ayling, he might be looking to provide some depth to his backline.
The prosperous defender has had a decent first half of the season in Eredivisie. After some promising displays, he has drawn the attention from several Serie A clubs, but Leeds could guarantee him more action.
For the moment, there is no confirmation from either side, but things may change swiftly since the deadline day is getting close.Category – Leeds
