Aston Villa have verified on their official Twitter account that Harry McKirdy has joined the League Two side Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old forward hasn’t made a single appearance with the Lions yet, but he has had a pretty successful first half of the season with Villa’s youth squad.

The youngster has experience playing in the League Two, as he had already performed for Stevenage a year ago.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has experienced and quality midfielders at his disposal and with the potential arrival of Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey, there would be no space for the prosperous attacking midfielder to feature in Villa’s first-team.
The Alex are set to fight relegation this year, and David Artell needs all the help he can get.
Considering the fact McKirdy would hardly see a minute on the pitch by the end of the season with Villa, this transfer is a win-win situation.
