The British portal HITC have broadcasted the news from the French outfit Sport.Sfr, regarding Aston Villa’s interest in signing Strasbourg’s forward Stephane Bahoken on a season-long loan.

The former OGC Nice player sees his contract expires at the end of the season, and the Lions would like to take him on loan now and make his stay permanent, once his deal with the French side terminates.

Villa manager Steve Bruce is determined to bring a new striker at Villa Park to replace the injured Jonathan Kodjia, and out of form Gabby Agbonlahor.

However, the Championship side has problems with the Financial Fair Play restrictions that disable them to spend the cash in January, leaving them a possibility to only bring the players on loan.

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa has been named as a first choice reinforcement, but due to a lack of understanding with the Foxes, Bruce might be considering other options.
