As per Forza Roma, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has recommended AS Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri for the club as they look to strengthen the squad this window.
The Egypt international played together with the Brazilian at the Serie A club for 2 seasons and reckons he could be an upgrade on the current crop of left-backs available at Anfield.
Palmieri is also being targeted by Chelsea, and Liverpool are planning to bid £17.6million for the 23-year-old who is keen on a move to the English topflight.
Known for his ability to whip in perfect crosses, the defender is also comfortable evading his marker with a piece of skill and often breaks forward in order to help his side’s attack.
A cruciate ligament injury ruled Palmieri out of the beginning of the campaign, but has since slowly worked his way back to full fitness.
Liverpool aren’t exactly in dire need of another left-back considering they have 3 at the moment, but the Juventus-target brings a lot of attacking quality to the fore while also being solid at the back.
