Leeds United reportedly ready to outbid suitors in the race for 24-year-old winger

According to Daily Record, Leeds United are keen on Rangers attacking midfielder Josh Windass and are lining up a bid to land the 24-year-old this month.

The Whites aren’t alone in the pursuit of the Englishman, with Sheffield United, Wigan Athletic and Preston North End, who have already seen a £500,000 bid knocked back, also interested.

However, Leeds are ready to better the offer as manager Thomas Christiansen wants to strengthen his squad in order to successfully guide his side to the Premier League.

Windass has been in fine form for the Light Blues this term, weighing in 6 goals in 20 league appearances thus far.

While the former Accrington Stanley man wants to remain an integral part of the plans at Ibrox, a serious offer from Leeds will be hard to turn down, and he could be on his way to Elland Road in the coming days.

The Yorkshire club are lacking enough quality in the wide areas, and Windass’ creativity could help bring out the best in the strikers who has struggled for goals occasionally.
