Ex-Liverpool star pay homage to Brazilian legend Ronaldinho

Former Liverpool stars Luis Garcia and Lucas have paid homage to Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho who announced his retirement from the game on Wednesday.

Ronaldinho was part of the Brazil squad that won the world cup in 2002 and also twice won the Fifa World Player of the Year award during a decorated spell with Barcelona which also included two La Liga titles and the 2006 Champions League.

Ronaldinho is widely regarded as being one of the best footballers to have emerged during the past 20 years and is renowned for his dynamic trickery.

Garcia who played with Ronaldinho prior to his 2004 transfer from the Camp Nou to Liverpool said: “There was no one like him, From [an]other planet !! Thanks Ronnie for all those amazing moments!! #Legend #MoreThanAgame #FCBarcelona”.

Lucas said: “My admiration for you as a player was always huge but when I had the opportunity to get to know you as a person I became even more of a fan.
