West Ham have denied that they made a bid for Everton defender Tom Davies.
Recent reports have suggested that David Moyes has made the highly-rated youngster a priority target for this month but Hammers coach Alan Irvine has said that his club have not made a bid.
Moyes has yet to make his first signing for the Hammers but is hoping to strengthen his side before the transfer window close.
Davies meanwhile has gone on to make 30 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees but has been in and out of the side since Sam Allardyce was appointed as the clubs manager.
Irvine, who helped Davies develop during his time as head of the Toffees academy, said: ‘I know him well, worked with him since he was 13 or 14 and is a really talented player but to my understanding, we have not made any approach to Everton.’
