Pundit urges Liverpool to make ‘stupid’ offer to sign this player

Robbie Savage has suggested that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should make a “stupid offer” to sign Stoke City keeper Jack Butland.

Butland has established himself as one of the top keepers in the Premier League since moving to Stoke from Birmingham City in 2013.

He could also be in line to serve as first-choice for England during the 2018 world cup with Joe Hart having been demoted to second choice at West Ham.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a  new first choice goalkeeper with Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet proving to be inconsistent during the opportunities which were handed to them.

Savage believes that JurgenKlopp should launch a bid to sign Butland this month.

“For me, I’d go and sign a goalkeeper. Put a stupid offer in for Jack Butland. Maybe £30m or £40m,” he said.

Though Liverpool have been in excellent form recently, they have conceded 28 goals from 23 games and have been particularly poor away from home.
