Kevin Keegan has said that he believes that Liverpool have enough quality in their side to win the Champions League.
The Reds showed their fortitude and quality this weekend as they recorded a 4-3 win over Manchester City and in the process became the first team this season to defeat Pep Guardiola’ssde in the Premier League.
The Reds are currently on a good run of form and are unbeaten in 18 matches in all competitions.
They face off against Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League next month over two legs and will be favourites for the encounter.
“Don’t forget they are still in the Champions League, they could win that,” Keegan said of his former club. “Why not? They are in it. They have Porto next, which won’t be easy. But it’s a tie they could come through.
“At the moment, I think all the top teams in there have a problem of one kind or another. Are Manchester United better than Liverpool? Probably not. Are Chelsea? Probably not.”
