According to reports, West Ham striker Javier Hernandez could be side lined for his side’s FA Cup third-round replay against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday.
The Mexican had to be sent home from a club training session on Monday due to the flu.
Hernandez has come under scrutiny during the past few weeks as he has struggled to find the back of the net and there has even emerged speculation suggesting that the Hammers could soon look to part ways with him.
The Hammers hierarchy are also said to be open to letting him go should they receive offers.
Hernandez was brought to the East London club during the summer as part of a summer revamp which also saw Marko Arnautovic arriving from Stoke City.
Other players who will be unavailable for their FA Cup clash against Shrewsbury include Andy Caroll (ankle), Michail Antonio (groin), Jose Fonte (calf), Edmilson Fernandez (ankle) and Winston Reid (groin).
