Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has suggested that West Ham striker Javier Hernandez would be a good signing for Manchester United.
The Mexican has been struggling for the Hammers this season but has been linked with a return to his former club United as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in cover for Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Hernandez arrived at the Hammers during the summer from Bayer Leverkusen and fans of the East London club would have been hoping that he would replicate the kind of performances that he delivered for United between 2010-2015 but this has not been the case.
Despite his struggles this season, Sherwood believes that the 29-year-old would be a good signing for the Red Devils.
He said, “Yeah, it would be an option. I think Jose is an admirer of Hernandez. I think he would probably be quite cheap at this stage and gettable. Not sure he fits into what David Moyes wants to do down there at West Ham for this season.”
