Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is chasing Chelsea winger Charly Musonda, according to the Daily Mail.
The former Liverpool manager is trying to strengthen his team during the January transfer window, as Celtic are set to battle on two fronts, in the Europa League and the domestic championship.
Musonda is a highly-rated young prospect, who demonstrated all his potential during the loan spell at Spanish’ side Betis. He is fast and has excellent technique. The 21-year-old is also a versatile forward that can play on both wings and as an attacking midfielder.
Moussa Dembele’ stay at Celtic hangs in the balance, Leigh Griffiths has troubles with injuries, and Scott Sinclair, despite managing to score fifteen goals, has ups and downs.
That’s why Rodgers is looking to give some depth to his attack, and the Belgium U-21 international could be his next big hit.
However, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte seems unwilling to sell Musonda outright and instead would like to send the talented winger on loan.
