According to a report published by The Sun, West Ham are interested in signing striker Khouma Babacar from Fiorentina this month.
The Hammers could be set to lose one of their forwards during the coming days with Diafra Sakho, Andy Caroll and Javier Hernandez all being linked with moves away from the club.
According to the report, Fiorentina are open to selling the forward and want a fee in the region of £15 million for his signature.
The Hammers however are hoping to take the player on loan for the rest of the season. Babacar has only played 375 minutes of football this season and has scored four goals. Last season, he started 13 League games for Fiorentina, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist.
The Hammers could however face competition in the race to sign Babacar as Crystal Palace are also reported to be interested.
Palace who just like the Hammers face the threat of relegation this season, are also looking to bolster their side this month.
