Savage says this player arriving to Goodison could transform Everton

Walcott

Robbie Savage has revealed that he thinks that Theo Walcott could transform Everton.

The Toffees were embarrassed 4-0 by Tottenham on Saturday and are now on a run of poor form, having lost their past four games in all competitions. Walcott has barely featured for Arsenal this season and is expected to be offloaded this month.

At 28-years-old, it is unlikely that Walcott will get any better but he does still boast lightning fast pace and should be able to compete at the highest level for at least another four years.

Savage feels that Walcott’s arrival would help the Toffees immensely.

“I think Everton need some pace in the side,” Savage said. “Big Sam has done well, but what are Everton? A seventh placed side, I think. Everton fans want a bit of excitement. Walcott offered pace.

“I watched Everton when they had Lookman and Bolasie with pace on each side, they looked a different team. Walcott would add that.”
