According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa have made the official approach for Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa.
Manager Steve Bruce has great desire to strengthen his offensive line, and he seems to have identified Leonardo Ulloa as a perfect signing. The former Hull City manager needs a player to replace sidelined Jonathan Kodjia who might miss the rest of the season due to injury.
However, because of the Financial Fair Play, Aston Villa have no money to spend this January, which forces them to bring players on loan. So far, Leicester seemed to be unwilling to let the player go on loan, as they prefer to sell him outright.
Nonetheless, according to the latest reports, Foxes will offload Ulloa if they secure a suitable replacement first. And, Birmingham Mail now says that Fousseni Diabate’s arrival at the King Power Stadium could facilitate Villa’s job.
The Argentinean experience and skills could certainly help Lions to achieve Premier League promotion this year.
