West Ham boss David Moyes has given a worrying message to fans of the club who are expecting the side to bring in new players this month.

Many fans were expecting the fortunes of the club to turnaround after they moved from Upton Park to the London Stadium in 2016.

However if anything, they have regressed and flirted with relegation. They could also be set for yet another relegation battle this season.

Many fans would have been hoping that the club would bring in new players this month in order to boost their performances and reduce the chances of relegation.

“We would really like a couple of players in the January window if we could do it but I couldn’t turn around and say to you that we’re guaranteed to do it and I couldn’t turn around and say to you and the West Ham supporters ‘Here we are this is what we’ve got’,” Moyes told whufc.com.

“We’re not there yet. I hope we can do it. I do think I want to make sure we try and bring in the right players who can stay at the club for a while.

“But in the same breath maybe in this window all we can get maybe is a couple of loans possibly and see how they do from there.”
