Aston Villa reportedly monitoring Liverpool midfielder

Anfield

According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa scouts are closely monitoring the situation of Liverpool talented midfielder Marko Grujic.

The same source reports that Premier League’ sides West Ham and Huddersfield Town are also on the trail of former Red Star Belgrade player.

Grujic arrived at Anfield in 2016, but due to the fierce competition in Liverpool’ midfield failed to make an impact. Klopp used young Serbian mainly in cup matches, but his participation in the championship was marginal.

The 21-year-old midfielder needs to adapt to English football and gain some experience, so a potential loan is on the table.

Villa manager Steve Bruce is looking to boost his squad to enhance their chances for Premier League promotion. Birmingham’ club desperately want to return to the elite, and they need all help they can get.

We will see how things will evolve during January, but Grujic could be a suitable option for Villa.
