West Ham have had an opening bid of £5 million for Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter turned down.
David Moyes is a fan of the Republic of Ireland international and wants to sign him for the Hammers in order to boost his midfield as the East London club looks to avoid relegation this season.
The Cherries are however disgruntled with the first offer that has been made though it is likely that they could be open to listening to offers which are higher.
Despite signing a new four-year deal with the club during the summer, it appears that Arter has fallen out of favour under Eddie Howe and that a move away from the Vitality Stadium would suit all parties.
The 27-year old Arter was a key player for the Cherries during past seasons and went on to play in all but three of his clubs Premier League games last season.
