West Ham reportedly ready to sanction £15million January deal for 19-year-old centre-back

As per The Telegraph, West Ham are ready to sell 19-year-old centre-back Reece Oxford to Borussia Monchengladbach should the Bundesliga outfit, or RB Leipzig, part ways with £15million for his services.

Oxford recently returned to east London earlier this month as the Hammers cut short his initial season-long deal to Monchengladbach after he only made 3 league starts, but the England youth international is said to be keen to return to Germany on a permanent basis.

The Bundesliga side have already tabled an £8million bid to make Oxford all theirs, but the Hammers believe he’s worth almost double of that valuation in today’s market.

The teenager, who made his Premier League debut as a 16-year-old against Arsenal, is currently down with an ankle injury he sustained during his first training session back with the club.

West Ham are waiting to make a final decision on Oxford’s future after next Tuesday’s F.A Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town.

Should no deal come forth for him, the Hammers are open to having him return to Monchengladbach till the end of the campaign in a move that will see the initial loan agreement continue.
