The Daily Star have broadcasted the news from The Sun about potential Rangers’ move for Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald in the January transfer window.
Scottish giants were already looking to bring McDonald to Ibrox last summer and now they’ll have to beat tough competition from Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.
Rangers’ boss Graeme Murty would like to give some depth to his midfield, as the Gers are looking to fight for a Champions League’ spot this year.
The former Scotland U-21 international is a tenacious box-to-box midfielder who could bring some strength and energy to Rangers’ game. The 29-year-old is known for his shooting and passing abilities, with long-range balls considered to be his specialty.
McDonald has been a regular starter for Fulham this season, and manager Slavisa Jokanovic would hardly be ready to give up on his services.
Rangers’ would face a fierce competition from Middlesbrough after the new manager Tony Pulis has allegedly identified McDonald as a perfect January signing.
