Everton reportedly favourites to sign £110,000-a-week star

Walcott

Everton have reportedly become the favourites in the race to sign Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott this month.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Gunners this season having thus far only made five substitute appearances in the Premier League.

He will also know that he needs to play as regularly as possible if he wants to have a chance at making the England squad for the 2018 World Cup.

At 28, it is unlikely that Walcott will get any better as a player but he is still gifted with his pace and has a lot to offer at the highest level.

Everton and Southampton have both been linked with the player but it now appears that the Toffees are leading the race.

Walcott’s wages of £110,000-a-week could prove to be a problem for the Saints while it is something that Sam Allardyce’s club will be able to get close to.
