Media in the UK have broadcasted the news from Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport about potential interest from Lazio for Celtic’ defender Jozo Simunovic.
Daily Record announced that the Bosnian centre-back, who is believed to be on the way out from Celtic Park, has already attracted interest from some Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace, whose manager Roy Hodgson would be willing to spend around £8 million to bring the player to Selhurst Park.
Earlier this month, it had been reported that Brendan Rodgers gave Simunovic the permission to find a new club in January after the arrival of Marvin Compper.
Lazio, on the other hand, are likely to lose their best defender Stefan De Vrij this summer after his contract expires and now could make a move for Simunovic.
The 23-year-old defender joined the club in 2015 from Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee. If the deal goes through, Simunovic is going to reunite with his international colleague Senad Lulic, who is also a club captain.
