Celtic and West Ham reportedly in race to land Champions League-winning striker

As per The Gambling Times, out-of-favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is a subject of a January transfer interest from Scottish giants Celtic and EPL side West Ham.

The England international is also attracting Newcastle, Waford and Southampton as an Anfield exit is most certainly on the cards this month.

Sturridge, 28, has been limited to just 14 appearances across all competitions this term, with his last in the league coming in November.

The ex-Manchester City man has not even made the bench for the last 7matches, and is more than willing to call it quits with Liverpool.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a reunion with the former Chelsea man, and with Moussa Dembele linked with an EPL move, Sturridge would be a perfect replacement.

However, leaving for Scotland could jeopardize his national team chances, giving his Premier League suitors a chance in the race.

The Hammers could do with a proven goalscorer within their attacking ranks, and a Champions League and EPL-winning hitman like Sturridge fits the bill.

His £150,000-per-week wages could, however, prove to be a stumbling block to West Ham if he’s not willing to take a significant pay-cut.
