The Birmingham Mail says that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth in January transfer window. The player has been linked with a possible move to Aston Villa recently.
The 29-year-old forward dazzled this season in Sunderland, as he played 19 games and scored 12 goals in the process.
Despite weak performances from ‘The Black Cats,’ Grabban was on fire, and his impressive form alerted Bournemouth to take him back 6 months before the ending of the loan spell.
The former Norwich City player is a powerful striker, and due to his quick feet, he is also capable of playing on the wing.
Aston Villa needs some fire-power in attack after the injuries of Jonathan Kodjia and Gabby Agbonlahor. Scott Hogan has yet to make an impact, and manager Steve Bruce wants to strengthen the offensive line to stay in the race for the Premier League’ spot.
On the other hand, Nuno Espirito Santo has a terrific season with Wolves, but despite great results, he wants to give more depth to his squad, and he identified Grabban, who has plenty of Championship experience as a perfect addition.
We’ll see if ‘The Cherries’ will accept to sell Grabban after great games this season.
