Harry Redknapp has revealed that he had his eyes on in-form Celtic winger James Forrest when he was managing Tottenham.
The 26-year old Forrest has been a key player for the Hoops this season who look set to win yet another Scottish Premiership title.
He has so far gone on to score 12 goals from 36 games in all competitions.
Forrest is one of the few players in the Celtic squad who has actually shown signs of improvement from last season.
His performances will be vital to as whether Brendan Rodgers progress to the deep stages of the Europa League and they face a tricky last 32 clash against Zenit St Petersburg in February. Redknapp confirmed that he considered signing Forrest when he was managing Spurs.
“At Spurs, we looked at James Forrest when he was younger and it is good to see him coming back to form,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
