According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are looking to get rid of some outcasts this January, and among the players about to leave are Carlos Pena, Fabio Cardoso, Bruno Alves, and Dalcio.
Carlos Pena could be the first player to leave Ibrox this January after the club agreed to loan Mexican international back to the home country, with Cruz Azul manager Pedro Caixinha poised to reunite with his pupil.
Fabio Cardoso, who arrived from Setubal in the summer transfer market, has managed to collect only 10 appearances this season and his departure is certain.
Experienced Portuguese international Bruno Alves has failed to make an impact since his arrival from Cagliari. The 36-year-old center-back has had ups and downs this season, and it is possible that he could be on the way out in January as well.
Portuguese winger Dalcio, who arrived last summer on loan from Benfica, has failed to adapt to Scottish football, and a return to his home country is expected.
Rangers will be very active on the transfer market, in addition to various arrivals; a number of departures are expected.
